Do you have a wine lover on your Christmas list this year? I have several, so coming up with gift ideas is always a challenge.
Last year, I put together wine themed bundles for my friends and family and everyone loved them! So this year, I decided to create a really fun DIY gift that every wine lover on my list would appreciate. This gift is super easy to make and costs less that $20.

DIY Gift for Wine Lovers
This is a super fun gift for the wine lover with a sense of humor. It's perfect for Secret Santa or White Elephant exchanges. Here's what you need to make your own.
- Cricut or other cutting machine (No Cricut? No problem! I'll give you alternate instructions below)
- Vinyl
- Sticky mat
- Weeding tool
- Transfer tape
- Small bottle of wine
- Plastic display case
- Hot glue and glue gun
- "In Case of Emergency Bring Glass" Design file (download it below!)
Don't have a Cricut? You can still make this!
To make this gift without a Cricut, download the file and print it onto clear sticker paper. Then cut to size and follow the assembly directions below.
Design Directions
Start by uploading the SVG file into Design Space. Depending on the size of your case, you may need to resize the file slightly.
Once the file is the proper size, click "Make It" and follow the directions to cut your design onto vinyl.
Once your design is cut, carefully weed out the words. Use transfer tape to adhere the design to the front of your display case.
Carefully peel off the transfer tape and your design is finished!
Assembly Instructions
Once your design is done, you can assemble your gift. Place the acrylic case upright with the back removed. Add a small amount of hot glue to the bottom of your wine bottle to keep it steady.
Then place the bottle inside the case and press firmly until the glue dries. Don't worry, your recipient will still be able to remove the bottle in an emergency.
Close the case and your wine gift is ready for giving!
