I love decorating the house for fall, but sometimes fall decor can get expensive! That's why I love shopping at Dollar Tree and making my own fall decor with inexpensive supplies (like these lovely Fall candle holders).

With two kids in the house I always keep napkins on the table to help with spills and sticky faces. Making a fall napkin holder is a cute way to add in some fall decor to our house and keep our napkins in one easy to reach spot.

This is also a fun DIY project for your Thanksgiving table: instead of individual napkin rings, make a few of these as Thanksgiving napkin holders and place them along the table. This works especially well for a Thanksgiving buffet, dessert table, or for the kids table!

This is a super simple craft that you can make with just a few Dollar Tree supplies. The kids can even help too! Here's what you need to make your own fall napkin holder.

You can find most of these items at your local Dollar Tree! I've also included links to similar items on Amazon if you prefer.

Materials needed:

Plastic napkin holder
2 wooden leaf ornaments
8 wooden leaf stickers
1 sheet fall leaf themed scrapbook paper
Hot glue gun & glue sticks (use a low temp glue gun if the kids are helping)
Scissors
Pencil

Instructions:

Remove sticker from napkin holder. If you can’t remove the whole thing, it’s ok. It will be covered.

Next, turn your scrapbook paper upside down and use a pencil to trace one side of the napkin holder (not including the bottom “stand” part that sticks out a bit.)

Carefully cut out what you traced.

Use this as a template to trace and cut out another one of the same size.

Carefully add glue to one side of the napkin holder and glue one cut out scrapbook sheet evenly.

Do the same to the other side.

Add glue to the back of the large wooden leaf and glue to the center, with the leaf stem touching the bottom.

Remove stickers from backing and add a drop of glue.

Press onto the napkin holder across the top above the larger leaf, with edges sticking out from the holder.

Repeat on the other side.

Allow all the glue to dry and your new fall napkin holder is ready to go! I love using this on our Thanksgiving dessert table as well as for appetizers before the big meal.
