Usually the best part about having a snow day is building a snowman. My boys were so excited to wake up to the news that school was cancelled today but with just a dusting on the ground and wind chills well below zero, it didn't look like a snowman was in our plans.
So we did the next best thing and did a snowman craft project instead! My boys had a blast and we all stayed warm and dry.

Free Printable Build a Snowman Craft
This build a snowman craft is the perfect indoor boredom buster on cold wintry days. With 6 total pages and more than 30 elements to choose from, your kids will love to decorate and design their own snowman scene.
They'll start by coloring the different elements - everything from hats, scarves and mittens to arms, eyes, and noses. Once everything is colored, they can cut them out if they are old enough, or you can help. This is perfect cutting practice for preschoolers and up!
Next, they can choose from one of two snowman shapes and assemble their snow scene.
You can use glue sticks or my favorite trick: pour a little kid friendly mod podge into a paper cup and let them paint it on with a paint brush. It works much better and clean up is a breeze!
Let the glue dry and your snowman is done!
