Pecan Pie Cookie Bars with only 3 ingredients - perfect Fall bake sale idea with DIY packaging and printable recipe labels!

Fall brings us Back to School, and with that the return of Fall bake sales. I love Fall baking and look forward to making bake sale treats, but with the chaos of school and Fall activities I sometimes (OK, often) leave things to the last minute. That's why I love this 3 ingredient cookie bar recipe - it's perfect for Fall bake sales and I've got a really cute way to package it too!

(By the way, if you love baking as much as I do, be sure to check out this awesome giveaway - you could win a KitchenAid® Mixer!)

My 3 Ingredient Pecan Pie Cookie Bar couldn't be easier. It's the perfect quick bar to make when you need to whip up bake sale goodies in a hurry, and the mix of apple and pecan pie tastes are perfect for Fall. The pecan pie flavor comes from M&M's® Pecan Pie - you can find more fabulous recipes featuring M&M's® Pecan Pie here.
I picked up all my ingredients at Walmart (along with a Snapple® Apple for myself - baking makes you thirsty!).

Ingredients:
  • 1 Box Pillsbury™ Moist Supreme® Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 Cup Mott's® Original Applesauce
  • 1/2 Cup M&M's® Pecan Pie (grab a coupon here)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 cake pan and set aside.

In a large bowl, mix the cake mix and applesauce together until well combined. It will be thick, more like cookie dough than cake batter.

Add in your M&M's® and stir until incorporated.

Spread into cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 22-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool, then slice into bars.

Yum! While they're baking, take a minute and enter this awesome giveaway:

Once your cookie bars are done you're ready to package them for your bake sale. I've got a simple DIY treat bag to make your bars stand out.

To make these DIY treat bags, you'll need:

These are super easy to make. Start by wrapping your washi tape around the bottom of the bag. Then add a second coordinating stripe for an extra kick of color.

Wrap another strip around the top of the bag just underneath the zipper. Then print out your recipe labels (find the printable here) and cut out. You can print on label paper to stick directly to the bag, or print on card stock and adhere with tape. Place your label in the center of the bag.

Fill with treats, close, and you're done! Ready for your Fall Bake Sale.

These bars are so yummy and couldn't be easier! And in their super cute treat bags, no one will know if you waited until the last minute to make them.
