Love this DIY idea for your home office or foyer! An easy personalized message center perfect for notes, photos, postcards, and more. How cute!

To say my husband and I are Diet Coke fans is a bit of an understatement. It's pretty much a staple in our house - he even toasted with a glass of Diet Coke at our wedding (though it was in a champagne flute). He also loves to collect Diet Coke bottles on his business trips around the world, so when I heard about the new Diet Coke "It's Mine" glass bottles I knew I had to grab one for his collection.

Every new Diet Coke "It's Mine" glass bottle is 100% unique, and they are all so pretty I couldn't just pick one! I decided to pick out one that I thought fit my husband first - I loved this bright, bold design for him. Then I picked out another three that I thought I could turn into a really easy accent for our home office - a DIY note and photo center.

We are always leaving little notes and reminders for each other, and he's great about sending postcards whenever he travels. I wanted a place to display these notes, cards, and a photo here or there (this works great for your Instagram pics!). These gorgeous Diet Coke bottles were the perfect inspiration for this project - it is so easy to do and easy to personalize! I love how the unique bottles let me pick out something that would really reflect my taste and personality - we are all unique and I love showing that off. Here's the how to.

"It's Mine" DIY Note & Photo Center

Materials:
  • 3 empty Diet Coke 12 oz glass "It's Mine" bottles
  • Tray (mine is a 3 section serving tray, but you can be creative)
  • Decorative rocks or glass beads
  • 12" craft rods
  • Small clothes pins
  • Glue (I used tacky glue, hot glue would work too)

Directions:

Start with 6 small clothes pins and craft rods.  Put a small strip of glue on the bottom of each clothes pin and stick to the top of each rod. Press gently until it holds and be sure to wipe away any excess glue.

Allow to dry completely. While the glue is drying, gather your other materials. Be sure to rinse out your Diet Coke bottles and allow them to dry as well.

Just like each Diet Coke "It's Mine" bottle is unique, you can really customize this part of the project to make it your own. You can use a different size or shape tray, or substitute glass beads for the decorative rocks.

Place each bottle on the tray and surround them with the rocks or beads. This will help keep everything sturdy and gives it a really finished look. (PS - I just adore the design of the green bottle in the center. It was a tough choice but this one is my favorite).

Once your clothes pin rods are dry, insert 2 into each bottle. That's it! Now you have a really unique and personalized place to put all your little notes, cards, and photos. Just clip them to the clothes pins to make your own personalized note center.

I love this DIY to use to keep all those little pieces of paper that I want to have handy out on display and in a safe spot. But even more than that, I love that it's my masterpiece - by using these unique bottles I could really personalize it to my taste and make it special.

We're putting ours in our home office but it would make a great message center for the kitchen counter, the front foyer, or a photo display anywhere! It also makes a great DIY gift for the Diet Coke fan in your life.

You can find these gorgeous Diet Coke bottles (and super cute cans too!) at Walmart.
