One of our favorite spring activities is planting a backyard garden. My boys love to dig in the dirt (of course!) and watch as their plants grow into vegetables. Granted, they are still not super into eating those vegetables, but having them come out of their own garden does give them a bit of an incentive.

This year we are looking forward to planning our garden and watching it grow more than ever. And since our school is closed for the foreseeable future, we're turning our garden into a learning activity by keeping a garden journal. And I have it here as a free printable for your kids too!

Free Printable Garden Journal for Kids

This garden journal is a great activity to keep kids engaged in gardening after your seeds are planted. It's the perfect companion to our garden planner for kids to help your kids be involved in gardening every step of the way!

The garden planner includes a plant observation page to help kids draw and note their daily observations of how their seeds are growing. There is also a daily garden journal page for them to write and draw what they see in their garden each day. This is a perfect place to encourage them to look beyond their plants and take note of the birds, bugs, and other parts of their garden area.

Also included is this fun garden scavenger hunt game.

This scavenger hunt is great for kids of all ages. Let kids explore the backyard looking for their garden supplies and more!

You can get the entire printable garden journal for kids delivered to your email for free when you enter your info below. You'll also be subscribed to our email list (you can unsubscribe at any time) for more free printables and tips to make mom life easier.
