Where'd You Go, Bernadette: Moms Book Club for February

Join us for a monthly online book club for moms featuring Where'd You Go Bernadette by Maria Semple. Learn how to join in this fun book club discussion!

It's time to announce another selection for Mom's Book Nook, our monthly virtual book club hosted by me and my friend Meghan at Playground Parkbench.  If you've joined us before for great books and even better conversation, welcome back! If you're new, I'm so glad you've found us and I hope you stay and chat for a while.

Mom's Book Nook is pretty simple - it works just like your regular book club, but online. Because moms are busy and sometimes it's HARD to get out for a girl's night. With our book club you can put the kids to bed, put on your PJs, grab a glass of wine (or hot chocolate) and chat about books without having to leave the house. How fun is that?

The Mom's Book Nook chat happens on the last Monday of each month, at 9:00 Eastern on Facebook. So what are we reading in February? Check it out!

February's book club selection is Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple.

Where'd You Go, Bernadette is a comedic novel centered around Bernadette, an agoraphobic architect who goes missing shortly before a family trip. The book is narrated by her 15 year old daughter Bee, and is told mainly through documents (emails, memos, etc) as we try to figure out exactly where Bernadette has disappeared to.

Where'd You Go, Bernadette is in the works to be a major motion picture, most recently reported to be starring Cate Blanchett. It has gotten rave reviews from the New York Times and NPR, among many others. It's billed as a perfect summer read, so I can't wait to dig in and forget the February chill with this one!

Pick up your own copy of Where'd You Go, Bernadette and join the Mom's Book Nook chat on Monday, February 29 at 9pm Eastern. RSVP here to make sure you get all the updates and to join the club!
