Who doesn't love a good New Year's party? Since my birthday is on New Year's Eve, I might be a little biased, but we love celebrating the New Year in our house. My boys are just a little too young to stay up until midnight (and sometimes I think I am a little too old to stay up too) so we've found another fun way to celebrate - with our New Year's Party Sensory Bin!

New Year's Party Sensory Bin
Setting up your New Year's Party sensory bin could not be easier. You'll need:
- Large plastic bin - I use an under bed size storage bin.
- Shredded paper or gift bag filler
- Confetti
- Assorted New Year's party decorations - beads, party horns, hats, etc.
- Foam letters & numbers - my boys love playing with these so we added them in too.
Put the paper, confetti, numbers and letters, and party decorations into your bin and invite your children to play. That's it! My boys jumped right in and had a ball with this activity.
They loved playing with all the confetti and shredded paper. I used shiny gift bag filler so it was super festive! And using the letters and numbers allows you to make this a learning activity as well - you can practice spelling out "Happy New Year" or the date of the New Year!
Of course they had to try on the party beads - and have some fun with the noisemakers too!
This is a really simple activity to set up for New Year's Eve - we had a lot of fun with our "party in a box" and will be sure to get it out again, anytime we have something to celebrate!
