Thanksgiving Dessert Table Decorating on a Budget

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Dollar General. All opinions are 100% mine.

Setting up a gorgeous Thanksgiving dessert table is easy and affordable with these ideas! Love this pumpkin themed Thanksgiving dessert buffet and you won't believe how inexpensive it is to recreate

One of the best parts of Thanksgiving is dessert. Pumpkin pie, apple pie, cupcakes, cookies... I try to leave room for a little bite of everything. In our house, the Thanksgiving dessert table is not only a place to keep all those sweet treats during the meal, but a yummy way to decorate the dining room as well.

While we serve a sit down meal for 15-20 people every year, dessert is best done buffet style. This way, everyone can take their time, digest a little, and sample anything and everything at their own pace (and go back for seconds or even thirds). This year I have discovered a gorgeous way to decorate my Thanksgiving dessert table while keeping to a budget and I can't wait to share my finds with you!

Thanksgiving Dessert Table Decorating on a Budget

I was looking for something fresh and festive to decorate the Thanksgiving dessert table this year, and I was able to find everything I needed at Dollar General. It's easy, affordable, and convenient and I couldn't believe the quality and style that I found. There was so much to choose from that the hardest part was deciding on my theme - I went with pumpkins, and I love how everything turned out. Here are the essentials you need from Dollar General to complete this look.

Our Thanksgiving desserts are displayed on the buffet in our dining room, and I started our tablescape with a fun, colorful runner. This protects the table top and adds a gorgeous splash of Fall color. I then added these simple round placemats, which are perfect for displaying all your favorite pies.

Adding in these adorable wooden pumpkins gives the table some rustic charm. I love these, and will definitely use them in the house before and after Thanksgiving passes.

This burlap and metal bucket with the adorable pumpkin accent is perfect for holding our "I am Thankful for..." cards. This is a fun family tradition we have, where everyone writes down their blessings to share during the meal. You can find these printable cards in my Thanksgiving Planner.

On the other side of the buffet, I have a coordinating oblong metal bucket that is perfect to hold dessert plates, napkins, and silverware. Just add a small cup inside to hold your utensils. I'm a big fan of using disposable tableware for dessert, and these Dollar General plates were the perfect touch.

You can add to your Dollar General decor finds with some small fresh pumpkins and gourds - I love including natural touches as there are so many great choices in Fall. Now you just need to add some delicious desserts and you're ready for a perfectly sweet ending to your Thanksgiving dinner.

Decorating for Thanksgiving is so easy and affordable when you shop Dollar General's private brands - you can find everything you need in one place and your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. You can find these products and more at your local Dollar General.
