Make Your Own Halloween Treat Bags: Halloween Activity for Preschoolers

Easy Halloween treat bags to make for kids! Let kids decorate their own personalized Halloween treat bags with this fun Halloween craft.

Trick or Treating is one of the highlights of Halloween and this year my boys are old enough to look forward to it. I thought it would be cute to have personalized treat bags this year, so I came up with these easy treat bags to make. It was a super fun Halloween craft for my preschoolers and they will be perfect Halloween goodie bags!

These treat bags are so easy to make, and would be a wonderful preschool Halloween craft or Halloween party activity. You will need:

Start by choosing which Halloween shapes you would like on your bag. Using your cookie cutters as guides, trace the shapes onto your bag. It is easiest to do this with a pencil and trace from the inside of the cookie cutter.

Next trace over your pencil outline with a black Sharpie marker for a crisp, bright line.

Then set out your bags and fabric markers and invite your children to decorate.

My boys loved this! They always enjoy coloring with markers and were so excited to make their own bags.

(Yes, that's our Chalkboard Spider Web in the background - it is still a favorite.)

I love how these turned out! This year my boys are really getting into Halloween and I know they will have a blast trick or treating. One of my boys doesn't like candy so I hope that we find some houses that are giving out stickers or non-candy goodies.
